The role of physiotherapy is to offer diagnostic assessment, and provide health prevention, treatment and rehabilitation solutions for people with disabilities and impairments affecting the various systems of the human body. Whether to treat an injury affecting the muscles, ligaments, joints or bones, or a neurological, respiratory or cardiac problem, our physiotherapy specialists are there for you. In short, physiotherapy is a vast discipline that targets a wide variety of health issues.

Our team will assess and treat your condition by developing a plan tailored to your specific condition. Our physiotherapists and physical rehabilitation therapists are available to respond rapidly to your needs, whether for a sports injury, or an injury sustained at work or during everyday activities.

At Forcemedic, physiotherapists and physical rehabilitation therapists use a variety of treatment techniques to promote quick healing. They include manual therapy, exercise programs based on your capacities, various electrical stimulation techniques (e.g. TENS, ultrasound, neuromuscular electrical stimulation) and heat therapy (application of heat).

We are also recognized by the CNESST and the SAAQ, and are therefore able to provide you with the documents you need for compensation, leave from work and a return to work. We are available to answer all your questions in an effort to help you deal with the administrative procedures involving these institutions.

In some cases, physicians prescribe and advocate specific care for treatment of certain physical and/or neurological conditions. When conventional physiotherapy is not enough, we encourage physiotherapy with an osteopathic approach.

Not only does it assist the body to get back to normal activities but it helps prevent relapses, adopt a correct posture and a better hygiene by regulating motor and metabolic functions to restore homeostasis (self-healing).

Unlike conventional physiotherapy, which addresses the problem directly and treats the injury with manual techniques and a specific exercise program, physiotherapy with an osteopathic approach is holistic and treats the patient as a global entity, without being limited to symptomatic treatment of injuries and pain.

Physiotherapy with an osteopathic approach is highly recommended for work or road accidents and also for these different conditions:

  • Muscle and joint pain;
  • Chronic back, lower back and neck pain;
  • Pain and numbness in the upper and lower limbs;
  • Joint and rheumatic diseases;
  • Sports and domestic injuries, tendinitis;
  • Cervicalgia, cervical spine traumas and whiplash (whiplash);
  • Migraines, headaches, chronic headaches, sinusitis;
  • Muscle stiffness, muscle stress and tension;
  • Respiratory problems like asthma;
  • Postoperative pain, postpartum;
  • TMJ disorders (temporomandibular joint) and muscle disorders;
  • Peripheral vascular disorders (heavy leg, edema).
